My first  exploration of the human psyche is Maneater. It introduces the cultured and beautiful Chloe Magnuson, the stunning head of a pharmaceutical department at St Boniface Hospital, a woman admired for her professional competence and viewed as a role model to emulate by many interns and staff. Dr. Torres is curious about the caked makeup that mars the beauty of the corpse and indulges a quick browse through the diary. She is soon engrossed in a shocking exposure to Magnuson’s life, a torrid tale of obsession and murder that utterly absorbs the mesmerized pathologist.
